What is aluminum hydroxide gel/magnesium hydroxide/oxythasine and what is it used for?

• This product is used for the rapid relief of heartburn and other symptoms associated with various digestive problems.
• Such as indigestion, increased stomach acidity, gastritis, peptic ulcers (open sores that form in the upper digestive tract), and esophagitis.

Do not take dried aluminum hydroxide gel/magnesium hydroxide/oxytheazine:

• If you are allergic to dried aluminum hydroxide gel, magnesium hydroxide, oxythasine, or any of the ingredients in this medicine.
• Tell your doctor about any allergies and symptoms you have.
• If you are taking tetracycline oral antibiotics (used to treat certain bacterial infections).
• If you have kidney problems.

Warnings and precautions:

• Stop taking the medicine immediately and talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you experience allergic reactions such as shortness of breath, skin rash, swelling of the face or neck, low blood pressure, and dizziness.
• Talk to your doctor if your symptoms get worse or do not improve.
• Speak to your doctor before taking this medicine if you are dehydrated (severe fluid loss) or if you have kidney problems, including kidney stones.
• Speak to your doctor before taking this medicine if you drink alcohol regularly.
• Speak to your doctor before taking this medicine if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.
• Speak to your doctor before taking this medicine if you are on a diet to lower magnesium levels.
• It is recommended not to use this medication for more than two weeks. Talk to your doctor if symptoms persist.
• Avoid drinking coffee or alcohol, eating fatty or spicy foods, and smoking in order to help the medication reduce acidity and associated symptoms.

Possible side effects:

• Possible side effects include signs of an allergic reaction (such as rash, hives, itching), vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, headache, constipation and muscle weakness.

Other medications and dried aluminum hydroxide gel/magnesium hydroxide/oxythasine:

• Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken, or might take any other medicines, including prescription and nonprescription medicines, herbs, vitamins, and supplements.
• If you are taking digoxin (used to treat certain heart problems).
• If you are taking iron supplements.
• If you are taking pazopanib (used to treat certain types of cancer).
• If you are taking fluoroquinolones or tetracyclines (types of antibiotics used to treat bacterial infections).
• If you are taking citric acid or ascorbic acid.

How to take dried aluminum hydroxide gel/magnesium hydroxide/oxythasine:

• The recommended dose is one or two teaspoons (5-10 ml) taken orally 15 minutes before meals, four times a day, and at bedtime. Be sure to shake the suspension well before use.

How to store dried aluminum hydroxide gel/magnesium hydroxide/oxythasine:

• Keep the medicine out of reach of children and pets.
• Store the medicine at room temperature (below 30 degrees Celsius).
• Do not use the medicine after the expiry date stated on the carton.
• Keep the medicine in its original packaging to protect it from moisture and light.
• Do not dispose of medicines in sewage or household waste.
